About Us

Rela-Cuisine is a growing Nigerian and African food business in Norwich, dedicated to delivering delicious, authentic meals and excellent customer service.

As part of our business expansion, we are opening a new food outlet in Norwich City Centre and are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Food Outlet Operator to join our team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our new outlet. The successful candidate will work independently, serving freshly prepared African meals, frying plantain, attending to customers and ensuring the outlet operates smoothly, safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and fry plantain to company standards.
  • Serve and package Nigerian and African meals.
  • Welcome customers, take orders and provide excellent customer service.
  • Handle cash, card and electronic payments accurately.
  • Open and close the outlet according to company procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
  • Complete daily sales, cleaning and food safety records.
  • Ensure food is stored, heated and served safely.
  • Report operational issues promptly to management.

What We’re Looking For

  • A reliable, honest and hardworking individual.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic cooking and food preparation skills.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Willingness to follow food hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Previous food service, takeaway or catering experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian or African cuisine is an advantage but not essential.
